Five (5) university ringette teams are playing in the Tier 2 level of the 2013 University Challenge Cup: Brock, Guelph, Laurentian, McMaster, and host university Nipissing.

UCC ringette games will be played in North Bay from January 2-6, 2013. Each university challenge cup team will play the other teams twice. Five other teams are playing in Tier 1 UCC games.
With the location being North Bay, fewer teams are participating, down from 8 teams at the UCC Tier 2 University Challenge Cup in 2012. McMaster University won the 2012 UCC Tier 2 championship game (view 2012 teams & scores).
