The Polar Bears Ringette Tour (www.polarbearsringette.com) is an annual summer tour through Europe that includes ringette games plus a healthy dose of sightseeing. Just received an email from Marc Petrucelli at Dom Sports that the tour will include St. Petersburg, Russia this year.
According to the email, the tour will:
- Leave Toronto 9:00pm on Monday, July 23
- Arrive in Munich Tuesday afternoon; see Munich Hofbrauhaus, Allianz Arena, Dachau concentration camp
- Bus travel to Prague; see Regensburg & Plzen enroute
- Tournament in Prague July 27-29
- Fly to Helsinki or St. Petersburg on July 29-30
- St. Petersburg; tour the city, Peterhof Palace, games & ringette demonstrations
- Return to Helsinki for overnight
- Tournament in Turku August 3-5
- Helsinki; city tour, Fazer chocolate store
- Overnight ferry to Stockholm; city tour, ice bar, exhibition game
- Return to Toronto from Stockholm at 7:00pm on Wednesday, August 8
