Suggestions for Skate Bite?

Currently dealing with a persistent skate bite problem.
So far, we've tried:

  • Lots of vaseline worked into the skate tongue
  • Foam cosmetic pads wedged behind the tongue when they are laced
  • Icing after every game or practice, and every day
  • Stretching
  • Ultrasound at the physiotherapist
Four weeks and counting... any other suggestions? Perhaps only a few weeks of rest is the solution.
