Fixed: Blackberry Not Sync'ing Contacts with Outlook for Mac

Recently, we switched from standalone Microsoft Office products to Microsoft Office 365 for Business, the online SAAS version. At the same time, we switched to Microsoft Exchange. The next time I went to sync my Blackberry, using Blackberry Desktop Manager, the calendar updated, but no contacts and no notes.

Checking SyncServices in Outlook, the fields were empty!  There's no apparent way to add any services.

After much Googling, I finally found this discussion thread.  There are a few clarifications in the thread, which are a bit confusing, so for future reference, here's how to reset Outlook SyncServices, by deleting the "com.microsoft.Outlook.SyncServicesPreferences.plist" file so that contacts will show up on a Blackberry using Desktop Manager.

This worked for Lion OS X 10.8.5.

Step 1:  Open Finder

Step 2:  Click on GO and hold down the Option key to expose hidden folders.  Select "Library".

Step 3:  Browse to the "Preferences" folder and find the "com.microsoft.Outlook.SyncServicesPreferences.plist" file.  Delete it by moving to Trash.

Step 4:  Go back to Outlook and select Sync Services under Tools.  All the available services should now be visible.  Select the services you want to sync.

Step 5:  Sync, then follow your regular Blackberry Desktop Manager sync process.  Your contacts and notes should be visible on your Blackberry.
