Digital Skill for Beginners - Toronto Course by Ladies Learning Code

Ladies Learning Code (LLC) is starting a 7 week night-time course, Digital Skills for Beginners, in October in Toronto.  What's different about this is that it is a hands-on course, with experienced mentors present to answer questions.

I hear often the comment from many folks, especially entrepreneurs (men and women) that they are not "computer-savvy".  In my opinion, nobody is born savvy of anything.  Entrepreneurs, you became experts in your business due to time and effort that you spent.  [ Quoting broadcaster Dini Petty, expertise and confidence is gained through the number "times through" you put yourself through - Dini applied this for every experience from her helicopter flying to interviewing. ]

So you may feel lacking in the area of "digital-saviness" but that is because there are only so many hours in the day, and you have spent those hours on your business.

Anyway, LLC's courses are well worth the time.  To date, to keep up with the latest evolution in digital, I have taken 7 of their Saturday courses (HTML/CSS, JavaScript, Wordpress, Photoshop, Drupal, Python, responsive web-design).  I am competent in very few of the above areas as a practitioner, but I attend these so that I can responsibly hire people to do the work, and distinguish BS from greatness.  The mentors are what has made this work (I ask a gazillion questions, sit with them over lunch and ask more questions).  And the mentors also great potential freelancers for hire.

Some courses "speak at you".  That type of course is not useful for learning digital.  Digital is best learned by doing, and that's why the LLC courses, and this series, are well worth the time spent.

I am sure this course will fill up, so if you are considering it, do sign up for Digital Skills for Beginners up early.

Rogers Billing Problem: Where's MyRogers Online Bill?

Update:  See Twitter response from Rogers at bottom of post.

Dear Rogers,
Less complicated bill on MyRogers?  Sure, but I have to be able to find it first!

Actually, looking at the video on MyRogers, it looks like my account hasn't been migrated. Regardless, there's a problem.

My billing date is the 9th.  Today is the 19th.

The latest bill available for viewing in detail in MyRogers on screen or PDF is for May 9th, not June 9th.  The payment amount is for the June 9th bill, the billing details are for the May 9th bill.

How do I get the latest billing details?

User error?  Well, I've clicked everywhere on MyRogers including to payment history and back.  Clicking on "Bill History", there isn't an option for June 9.

Here's an annotated screenshot:

And if I click into the details under Bill Summary on the left, the dates clearly show this is the May 9th bill...

Definitely not in sync! Please fix!

Update:  Rogers (@RogersHelps) responded promptly to my post on Twitter.  Very much appreciated.

Update:  As of July 1, 2015, this has not been fixed, and the latest bill is still not available online. I have asked @RogersHelps again.
Update: As of July 2, 2015, the PDF available via "Download Bill" is the most recent, but onscreen's "Latest bill" is still one month old.
